Bill is a qualified Chartered Quantity Surveyor and have worked in both the Construction Industry and House building industry since 1978. On leaving school I joined a local firm of Chartered Quantity Surveyors and attended day release course in Glasgow and qualified ARICS in 1985 1985 – 1988 Once qualified I spent some time working overseas in Libya as the Regional Surveyor mostly oil and gas related works 1988 - 2000 On return was invited to join Beazer Homes as their Development Manager working from Falkirk and latterly their Cumberland office. Whilst at Beazer I was appointed Technical Director and was responsible for delivering 800 units per year in both Normal Residential and Social Housing. 2000 - 2003 Whilst working on a joint Venture site with Robertson Homes and was offered the opportunity to be appointed Managing Director of Robertson Homes, based in Elgin. Under my management, I was charged to expand the House building Company and relocated Robertson Homes to new offices in Stirling in order to establish the Company in the Central belt.
